Chromotherapy
Chromotherapy
Indulgence for body and mind
Chromotherapy is a method of treatment that uses the full spectrum of visible light, also known as colors, to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that result in health and harmony. Our bodies need sunlight to live. When there is an imbalance in these colors within our bodies, we can experience mental or physical distress. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms. Chromotherapy works on various energy points to help the body re-establish its natural balance. It accomplishes this via the full spectrum, each color of which addresses a separate bodily need.
Red light is known to balance the 1st chakra (root chakra) located at the base of the spine. Red light helps ease tension, enhance energy efficiency, and boost cellular metabolism. It is often called “The Great Energizer.”
Spiritual benefits of red include reducing fear related to family and finances, regulating anger response, and promoting joy.
Strong Green light is known to have a positive impact on immune revitalization, restoration, and an overall improvement of physical wellness.
Spiritual and mental benefits of strong shades of green are often linked to a deeper connection to nature and the emergence of feelings of tranquility and calmness.
Strong Blue light is often used for physical healing, injury recovery, and to prevent or reduce the severity of infection, as well as alleviate nervous tension.
Spiritually, strong blue lends itself to openness and honesty, as well as purity, expression, and communication.
- Orange light is often associated with the 2nd chakra situated in the lower abdomen.
Orange is known to influence creativity and promote warmth, innovation, and emotional liberation.
Green light governs the 4th chakra (heart) which regulates circadian rhythm, muscle relaxation, organ detox, and tissue regeneration.
Spiritually, green is known as the seat of self-forgiveness, love, and the convergence of mind, body and spirit.
Violet light promotes cell regeneration and is the last visible color before ultraviolet light, which is beneficial for various conditions, including neurosis, scalp issues, sciatica, and more.
Spiritual and emotional benefits of violet include purification of thoughts. Governing the 7th (crown) chakra, violet serves as a bridge connecting mind and body with a higher power.
Strong yellow light can be beneficial for stomach, liver, and intestinal issues.
Spiritually, the intense yellow hues are known catalysts for mental inspiration and higher intellect.
Blue light, linked to the throat (5th) chakra, is known to improve verbal communication, reduce worry, and soothe throat-related issues.
From a spiritual perspective, blue is known as the energy center in the body that deals with self-expression, communication, and truth. Blue hues are also linked to the Earth by association with bodies of water and the sky.
Pink light is associated with love, compassion, warmth, and harmony. Softer shades of pink are often used to represent self-love and self-care. Pink is thought to have a gentle, nurturing energy that can help reduce stress, anxiety, and promote a sense of inner peace.
Yellow light is often used for conditions such as constipation, gas, liver problems, diabetes, and eczema.
Spiritually, the color yellow governs the solar plexus 3rd chakra (naval), where personal power, self-esteem, and inner strength reside.
Teal light perfectly encapsulates the calmness of the blue and the renewal properties of green. Teal is often known to help boost immunity, rebuild cells, relieve infections, reduce pain and fever, and bring mental relaxation.
Spiritually, teal is associated with cleansing the mind of redundant stagnant thoughts and raising your vibration. The soothing nature of teal invokes feelings of tranquility and serenity.
Strong pink light may have a more pronounced effect on balancing emotional health as well. Stronger shades of pink are often used to reduce feelings of aggression, anger and hostility, and promote a more peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
